Job Summary for Advertising:
New River Valley Community Services is seeking an SUD Clinician I or II at the New Life Center. The clinician works with an interdisciplinary team to assist with clients with substance use disorders in the partial hospitalization program, which meets five hours each day for four days each week. The program is interactive, utilizing mindfulness as a foundation for intervening clinically and teaching coping skills that target the causes and solutions to substance use disorders. Clinician in this position will provide group counseling, individual counseling, and psycho-educational groups every week. Additionally, clinician will assist with arrangements for clients to attend nutrition counseling, yoga, and Acudetox.
Clinician I –
- Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or other license-eligible human services field is required.
- Required to register and become licensed-eligible within 6 months of hire, with the Virginia Board of Counseling.
Clinician II –
- Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or other license-eligible human services field is required.
- State of Virginia license required in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy or other related field.
Additional compensation will be considered for bilingual candidates.

Pay: $46,015.00 - $55,683.00 per year
