Quality Inspector
Seeking a Quality Inspector with 3+ years of experience with inspection of small close tolerance machined metal parts.
Responsibilities:
- Inspects close tolerance parts from prints and maintains appropriate documentation.
- Reviews inspection results with a cross functional team that may consist of engineers, production, and managers.
- Performs 1st piece, in-process, receiving inspections, final inspection as needed to support business needs.
- Performs follow up actions for non-conforming product such as identification and segregation of affected product.
- Uses a variety of measuring instruments and test equipment to perform inspections (Such as micrometers, comparators, measure scopes, height verniers, scales, calipers, height stands, and other equipment)
- Maintains accurate records and documentation
- Performs calibration and setting of gages.
- Investigates and reports causes of dimensional and process non-conformances.
- Recommends corrective and preventive actions to improve product and / or process quality.
- Participates in the development and implementation of quality assurance programs.
- Conducts audits of manufacturing and assembly processes
- Assists with preparation, completion, and submission of certifying documentation such Certificates of Conformance, PPAPs, and FAIRs.
- Assists in providing guidance and training as needed to production associates.
- Ensures that company quality systems and procedures are implemented and followed on the floor.
- Inspects work orders and other documentation to ensure that all procedures have been followed correctly.
- Performs various assigned production duties when not engaged with inspection or quality evaluation activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years quality inspection experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment (or equivalent)
- Working knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and other relevant statutory or regulatory quality standards
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and react to a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to interact and communicate at all levels with employees and customers.
· Works unsupervised to complete assigned tasks.
- Working Knowledge of PPAP reports and First article inspections.
- Certification from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) as a Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) (Preferred)
- PCDMIS Experience (Preferred)

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
