Implement robust supplier risk management processes, including performance monitoring, supplier audits, and supplier diversification strategies to reduce dependency on single-source suppliers.

Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in procurement and supply chain management, recommending innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Develop and maintain crisis management protocols and escalation procedures to respond effectively to supply chain disruptions or emergencies, minimizing their impact on business operations.
Vendor Management and Contracts (15%)

Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering a collaborative and mutually beneficial environment.

Identify and assess potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term partnerships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability of the supply chain.

Lead cross-functional teams to evaluate supplier performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Budget, Pricing and Performance (15%)

Competencies & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.

At least 7-10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry.

Proven track record of developing and implementing successful procurement strategies that drive cost savings and operational excellence.
