Overview:
This position involves two overnights as Night Auditor. We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Assistant Front Desk Manager. As the first point of contact for our guests, the Assistant Front Desk Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient operations at the hotel's front desk. This position involves overseeing daily front desk activities, supporting the Director of Front Desk Operations, and maintaining a positive guest experience.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the front desk operations and ensure smooth daily operations
- Greet and assist guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle guest complaints or issues in a timely and satisfactory manner
- Train and supervise front desk staff to ensure excellent customer service
- Help manage employee attendance
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a hotel front desk or guest services role.
- Previous experience as Night Auditor.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and resolve conflicts.
- Proficiency in hotel management software and basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of the hospitality industry and local attractions.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is a plus).
- Proven experience in a front desk or guest services role.
- Previous supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
