Plans, manages, and oversees multiple small to medium size construction projects of a routine to moderately complex nature, a single large project, or multiple-contract projects of routine nature. May direct the day-to-day activities of construction representatives and construction coordinators on projects. Becomes familiar with project contract documents for each project, coordinates, and controls all construction management activities, including critical path method (CPM), and scheduling and claims administration. Interprets plans and specifications for clients, contractors, and the company's field personnel. Provides direction to shop drawing professionals to develop project related shop drawings. Coordinates and disseminates shop drawings to project stakeholders, as necessary. Provides internal consultation to construction representatives and serves as a technical resource to other functional groups. Documents deficiencies, expected cost overruns, issues with materials and other related construction issues or risks related to their area of oversight. Prepares related reports (ex: monthly progress reports, etc.). Maintains daily report of construction activities. Participates with sales staff, practice leaders and project managers in developing new opportunities for business through proposal preparation and general contact with current and potential clients. Reviews government or funding agency regulations in order to provide consultative services that reflect an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of legal requirements. Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree. 6 years of relevant experience. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
Driver's License Requirements
An appropriate and valid driver's license is required.
