Are you a natural born leader who thrives in the excitement and energy of the restaurant business? If so, then our Shift Leader or Assistant Manager career path is right for you. As a Shift Leader, Assistant Manager, Manager, Gerente, Supervisor you must coach, direct, recognize outstanding behavior, and establish priorities for crew members during their shift. You’ll be responsible for training crew members on policies and procedures to ensure compliance with food safety. Some days you might open the restaurant and other days you might close the restaurant. It is your job to make sure exceptional service is provided all day, every day.
What will you do?
- Train and develop crew members.
- Complete administrative tasks like inventory control, scheduling, logging maintenance, and reviewing financial reports.
- Ensure exceptional guest service is provided all day, every day.
- Ensure compliance with all security, food safety, quality, and cleanliness standards.
- Maintain cost controls and contribute to the sales/profit goals.
- Build your skills and leverage the available tools to prepare yourself for a future General Manager role!
What you bring to the table as part of our familia:
- Minimum of two years experience leading people in a restaurant environment
- High school diploma or GED preferred but it’s not a deal breaker
- Knowledge of food safety procedures and standards
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Flexible work availability
Physical Requirements:
- Extensive standing
- Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, and cold.
- Reaching heights of approximately 6 feet and bending to touch the floor
- Must have high level of mobility/flexibility in space provided.
- Bending, reaching, and walking.
- Communicating with customers.
- Using a computer.
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
