ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Preparation & delivery of an approved curriculum based on institutional coursework, lesson plans, and syllabi.
· Regularly monitor student attendance and academic progress.
· Maintain communication and address question(s) with all students who are deemed academically at-risk
· Work with students to address any issues that may impede their academic progress.
· Respond to student retention and classroom management issues.
· Promote a positive academic learning environment with professional appearance and attitude.
· Cultivate cooperative learning by maintaining academic standards.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor’s Degree or greater in the health sciences field (Ultrasound related highly desirable).
· Completion of Sonography Principles and Instrumentation (SPI) certification
· Current active registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in one of the following:
Abdomen
Breast
Musculoskeletal
Obstetrics & Gynecology
Pediatric Sonography
Vascular Technology (RVT)
· Four (4) years min professional & practical experience working as an Ultrasound Technician/Medical Diagnostic Sonographer.
· Must be able to demonstrate a command of theory and practice, contemporary knowledge, and continuing study in their field.
· Technical expertise in all of the subjects in which the Faculty member will be teaching.
· Knowledge and understanding of the professional career paths and demands of the field.
· Ability to inspire students to the highest level of achievement.
· Motivation and enthusiasm for teaching and having sensitivity to student needs and interests.
· Passion for helping students to attain their career goals.
· Teaching experience is preferred.
Required education: BS or BA
Required license or certification: ARDMS, CCI, ARRT
Required experience:
Sonographer: 4-5 years
