Lead with Compassion, Drive Excellence: Join Our Team as Director of Nursing!
A Rosie Place for Children is seeking a compassionate, high-capacity Director of Nursing to join our dedicated staff family. Unlike a large corporation, we offer a family-like environment where love, care, and fun thrive. In this role, you will focus on training and team-building for our nursing and support staff, fostering a supportive and collaborative atmosphere. If you’re ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of medically fragile children and their families, we invite you to apply and become a part of our exceptional community.
A Rosie Place for Children is a non-profit organization committed to supporting medically fragile children and their families. Established in 2011, we became Indiana's first and only specialty hospital dedicated to providing respite care to the growing number of families with children who are medically fragile and often dependent on medical technology for survival. By providing essential care, we offer parents and caregivers the invaluable gift of time and allow these children new experiences outside the home. Few services exist for these children due to the complexities of their daily care, making our mission all the more critical.
The Director of Nursing (DON) at A Rosie Place (ARP) is responsible for the provision of quality healthcare to the children and families served by A Rosie Place. This includes maintaining compliance with all state and national agencies; hiring and supervising both licensed and support staff; and developing a positive rapport with all children, families, staff and visitors. Additionally, the Director of Nursing is responsible for coordinating and supervising new client intakes, in-service training, and staffing assignments. The Director of Nursing will serve as a member of the professional group of advisors (ARP) and will follow the directions given by the Executive Director, in conjunction with the Medical Director for the development, implementation and appraisal of clinical practice guidelines. The Director of Nursing will report to the Administrator/Executive Director of A Rosie Place.
This DON leads and exemplifies the core values of the organization; Excellence, Integrity, Honesty, Accountability, Empathy, and Innovation without exception.
