We are looking to fill our company's HR Generalist position.
About the Role: We are eagerly seeking a positive, inquisitive HR Generalist who is passionate about streamlining processes and problem-solving. This role is crucial in taking HR duties off ownership's plate and ensuring that HR operates efficiently and smoothly as directed. In addition, our new HR Generalist will support ownership, management, and general managers regarding HR matters and a few office tasks.
The ideal candidate for this role will be proactive, have a proven track record in handling a wide range of human resources tasks, and be driven to help ownership run a successful Pest Control Company.
Salary: The starting salary range for this position is $67,000 to $72,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the company's owner and be a vital leadership team member.
- Assist with managing HR for the company by developing and maintaining office and company policies, updating company annual handbooks, employee files, payroll, operations, discipline, recruiting, onboarding, orientation and training, and other procedures as necessary.
- Handle internal inquiries, complaints, injuries, and workers' compensation.
- Develop and streamline company policies and procedures, implement them appropriately after approval, and ensure all files are complete and organized as owners expect.
- Review and analyze duties, tasks, and projects, and keep ownership and management adequately informed.
- Ensure top HR performance of company staff by providing adequate coaching and guidance.
- Manage internal staff relations and maintain a positive working environment while following company core values.
- Maintain and update all office and company insurance policies.
- Process and approve office payroll.
- Purchase items for the office as directed by owners.
- Other duties may be assigned based on the company's needs in any department.
Qualifications and Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below represent the required knowledge, skill, and ability.
- A bachelor's degree in business or a related field is required.
- Previous Human Resources experience of at least two years is required.
- Ability to thoroughly understand HR principles and federal/local regulations through questions, discussions, and completed tasks.
- Extreme attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Takes ownership of job responsibilities with personal pride and accountability.
- Experience with multiple locations and departments is preferred but not required.
- They are very prompt, hardworking, and love what they do.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision required.
- Ability to remain calm while working under pressure in a busy environment.
- Ability to work within the timeframe of standard policies and procedures and not miss deadlines/due dates.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality related to sensitive company and employee information.
- Excellent ability to multi-task, prioritize, and problem-solve in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Google Platforms, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint is essential.
