TX– Automobile and Heavy Equipment Field Appraiser

We pride ourselves in being a trusted resource for specialty programs.We are currently looking for licensed adjusters to assist with daily claims handling throughout the State of Texas for Auto Material Damage appraisals. This is a field role for inspections within the city limits of San Antonio, TX. It requires you to be away from your desk inspecting property damage losses in person to include heavy equipment such as street sweepers, large tractors and dozers in addition to commercial fleet firetrucks, utility trucks and automobiles. You will examine damaged vehicles to determine the extent of structural, body, mechanical, electrical, or interior damage and complete estimates for their repair. Estimates cost of labor, determines parts utilization (i.e., OEM, Aftermarket, LKQ), and feasibility of repair versus replace on damage, using knowledge of automotive repair. Inspection photographs and agreed price appraisals will be completed on all damaged property. All estimates are to be written according to all company guidelines and will include evaluating the practicality of repair and possible contract repair versus deeming a vehicle a total loss.In this role you will work and collaborate with various parties to successfully estimate and appraise the damage to include body shops and risk managers.
Required:
- 3+ yrs outside appraiser or related experience
- Knowledge, skills and ability to write an agreed price appraisal for trucks and heavy equipment in addition to the standard automobiles
- Good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Maintain a valid driver's license and have an operable vehicle to drive to inspections
- Be able to use a computerized estimating system (such as Mitchell, Audetex or CCC).
- Knowledge of specialty vehicle appraisals
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Effective negotiation skills.
- Ability to effectively and independently manage workload

- Exceptional organization and time management skills
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
