Location Information
Saint Therese offers a continuum of care and services available in a person's own home or in one of our four Twin Cities communities: New Hope, Brooklyn Park, Shoreview, and Woodbury.
Rooted in history, Saint Therese of New Hope is our largest community. This care center has 168 skilled nursing beds for long-term and transitional care. In addition, the Residence at Saint Therese of New Hope houses 225 independent apartments and suites for assisted living and memory care.
Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled building maintenance and housekeeping tasks to maintain the campus. Supervises and provides work direction to building maintenance staff. Assists in formulation of building maintenance and environmental services policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Experience: Minimum five years of mechanical engineering; professional level expertise; two years of management or supervisory experience is required.
Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems and HVAC
- Effective time management/prioritization and problem-solving skills
- Minnesota Boiler Engineer license
- Minimum Class 2-C Boiler's License
- OSHA Regulations
- Managerial and Supervisory skills
- Knowledge of MN Nursing Home Rules and Regulations
- Knowledge of CMS Federal Nursing Home Regulations
- Knowledge of housekeeping equipment and supplies
- Effective time management, prioritization and problem solving skills
- Possess computer skills to develop and maintain tracking tools
- Experience with housekeeping/maintenance software helpful
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
