Studio David Elliot is seeking to hire a Junior Design Associate with at least 3 years of experience in bespoke residential new construction, remodels, and project management at an established design firm. This person will assist the Senior Designer in vendor correspondence, managing meeting agendas, expediting, sourcing, procurement, schedules, obtaining quotes and samples, general organization pertaining to projects and timelines, verify site measurements and conditions, and project management. Formal education in interior design or architecture is a plus.
This person must be self-motivated, have strong written and verbal communication skills, and be able to work in a fast-pace environment with little direction.
Candidates must be extremely organized, detail-oriented, possess strong and clear verbal, written, and graphic communication skills, and have the ability to follow through on tasks until completion. This person should have some understanding of space planning, design and construction documents, project management, expediting, and be able to create and maintain typical schedules, including finish, plumbing, appliance, hardware, etc.
Candidate is responsible for supporting the process on material sourcing and specification, custom furniture design, visual research, mood board creation, furniture sourcing, graphic and visual presentations, while adhering to fast-paced project timelines
The ideal candidate is a creative, self-motivated and meticulous individual who is collaborative, and can contribute to ongoing projects.
Working knowledge of the full design process including Concept, Schematic, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction Administration, Procurement, and Installation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a willingness to adapt to the daily needs of the design team
Salary commensurate with experience.

- Create, maintain, and update Schedules
- Prepare outline and documentation for job site meetings
- Coordinate and prepare for Client Presentations
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Interior Design.
- Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office, Studio Designer
- Knowledge and ability to value engineer when necessary
- Must have a working vehicle for office & client-related meetings

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
