Front Desk Receptionist
The Project Access Foundation’s (PAF) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 community health program which was founded in 1999 to provide services to the underserved populations in South Florida. Since its inception, PAF has served close to 100,000 uninsured individuals. The purpose of PAF is to eliminate cultural barriers to healthcare resources and that are integrated, wrap-around, culturally competent and population focused; reducing the high mortality and morbidity rates that are faced by the large number of minority residents in our communities.
Job Description:
The Biscayne Medical Center Front Desk Receptionist will be responsible for greeting customers and answering incoming calls while maintaining a tidy reception area. The receptionist will greet visitors and take messages, schedule appointments, and assist in the daily operations of the office.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- HIPAA compliant, expected to protect all patient health information
- Address all medical record requests, click the links and send the appropriate medical records requested
- Experienced with electronic health record systems to review all medical record request, upload and send them accordingly, create patient accounts and schedule patients accordingly
- Will be provided access to review patient insurance benefits
- Greets visitors and answers incoming calls
- Answers incoming calls by the company and its partners
- Schedules appointments for the patients in the office and contact them if no appointments are available
- Provide information to visitors about our products services or products related to the service being provided by the company.
- Collect payments from visitors using a credit card machine or cash machine
- Maintain office cleanliness standards according to health regulations and safety standards (clean desks, desks clean of trash and patient health information)
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to improve the company’s services to its customers.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred. Experience in a clinical customer service role preferred. A minimum of one year’s experience in a customer service role preferred.
Schedule:
- Monday through Thursday 8:00am – 5:00pm Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
