Job Title: Business Systems Analyst

Role Description:
Roundstone is searching for a growth-oriented individual who is passionate about driving accountability, transparency, and efficiency in our organization. Strong knowledge of building effective technical business solutions while acting as liaison between business units and technology. Strong Lean management, agile and project methodologies. Core competencies include requirements gathering, database SQL competency, workflow analysis, and the ability to communicate technical and non-technical information.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Act as a liaison with Business (BA) and Information Technology (IT) to capture business needs and shape requirements through dialogue with relevant teams across the organization.
Perform business requirements analysis and support business users throughout the project life cycle including scope definition, design review, and User Acceptance Testing.
Identify effective solutions for business software system issues working with all levels of the organization.
Identify and document all system constraints and consequences of various proposed system changes; act as local expert for “what-if” scenarios.
Effectively gather, evaluate, and map current processes and support ongoing development and implementation of process improvements.
Perform intermediate data analysis, data manipulation, QA testing and data validation for business conversions.
Manage relationships with third party service providers that support IT.
Create technical documentation in cooperation with the Corporate Trainer; maintain departmental documentation, policies, and procedures.
Manage IT work activities, processes, and progress within a system to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
Support in the development and maintenance of disaster recovery & business continuity planning.
Analyze current business processes and make recommendations for improvement based on industry trends and professional business knowledge.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Information Technology or related field of study
6+ years working as Business Analyst preferably within IT
Understanding of various technologies (SQL, XML, HTML, JavaScript, Python, Azure.); experience with any programming/scripting language preferred
Experience working with large volumes of data utilizing software tools to assist in the data analysis
Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking skills.
Demonstrated ability to work as a partner to achieve mutually agreeable results.
Must be self-directed, thorough, and highly organized; ability to prioritize workload.
Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to articulate technical solutions to a non-technical audience.
Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of the technical language and writing approach, and the ability to write paper-based and on-line technical reference documentation (guidelines, standards, procedures, processes, applications, etc.)
Insurance experience in the life and health market or similar product markets preferred.
Deep understanding of relational databases
