As a Store Development Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in our company's expansion strategy by coordinating and facilitating the development of new stores from conception to completion. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including the Real Estate Team, Store Development project managers, architects, contractors, and related vendors to ensure that projects are executed efficiently and on schedule. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment will be crucial to your success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end development process for new store openings, including site selection, lease negotiation, design, permitting, construction, and handover.
- Coordinate Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders involved in store development projects, maintaining open lines of communication and ensuring that all parties are aligned on project goals and timelines.
- Budget and Timeline Management: Develop and manage project budgets and timelines, tracking expenses and progress against milestones to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Site Evaluation and Selection: Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential store locations, evaluating factors such as demographics, competition, traffic patterns, and zoning regulations.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate lease agreements, contracts with architects and contractors, and other legal documents related to store development projects, ensuring favorable terms for the company.
- Permitting and Regulatory Compliance: Liaise with local authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals for store construction and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and building codes.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure that construction work meets quality standards and specifications.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and documentation for all store development projects, preparing regular progress reports for management review.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Construction Management, or a related field (Preferred).
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in retail or real estate development.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of zoning regulations, building codes, and permitting processes.
- Ability to travel as needed for site visits and meetings.
