Viewpoint School is an independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school serving 1,200 students in grades K-12. Viewpoint School is currently seeking a Shipping/Receiving/Transportation Assistant. The Shipping/Receiving/Transportation Assistant is responsible for inspecting and logging incoming deliveries, for getting parcels and packages to their intended recipient in a timely manner, and for driving school vehicles when scheduled.
Primary Functions

Inbound deliveries

Greet all incoming deliveries. Help unload. Inspect for damage. Maintain deliveries database

Efficiently deliver incoming parcels and packages around campus to intended recipients within 1 business day of receipt

Note receipt date on bulky shipments that need to be held at Peter’s until the recipient is able to receive them. Bring to Supervisor’s attention items that remain in storage for a long time

Outbound shipments

Retrieve parcels & packages to be shipped and/or returned

Prepare & ship outgoing parcels & packages per instructions provided

Schedule pick-ups as needed

Transportation Services

Drive school vehicles when scheduled

Greet morning buses in Lower/Middle or Loop Road drop off locations

Assist with afternoon bus dismissal in Lower/Middle or Loop Road pick up locations

Refuel school vehicles when necessary

Refill batteries in all carts no less than once per month

Process stock/supply requests in a timely manner

Notify supervisor when stock needs to be reordered

Keep faculty rooms and offices stocked with copy paper at all times

Retrieve recyclable batteries & ink cartridges on a regular basis and prepare recycled materials for shipment

Keep department work areas in an orderly, clean, and safe condition
Compensation: Anticipated compensation is $20.00 - $24.00 per hour depending on experience.
