Overview:
We are seeking an Inside Sales Application Engineer that is highly dependable, direct, and analytical; one who is comfortable working on high profile projects.
The Inside Sales Application Engineer is responsible for the development and oversight of all projects. Continuous interfacing is required with all internal departments, and external customers, to keep projects moving along and all gates achieved on time. This includes new project evaluation, initial specification of machinery, and working with Engineering, Project Management, and Assembly to clearly communicate the customer needs and quoted expectations to be successful.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leverage technical product and application knowledge to provide high quality solutions to automation challenges.
- Interface with outside sales team, and directly with customers to obtain all application details needed to generate a proper quotation.
- Collaborate with Project Management Team to assist with the Team's administrative tasks.
- Oversee project-related documents by ensuring all necessary materials are current, complete, and properly filed and stored.
- Direct project management correspondents by preparing and reviewing project proposals, information, meeting minutes, and emails.
- Participate in project design meetings to ensure quality allocation of all project-related information.
- Communicate with Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and Technical Teams to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
- Analyze, process, and document all phases of the sales order.
- Oversee product and quote training for the Sales Team.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate best practices into projects
Marketing Liaison
- Work with the existing marketing firm ( Trending Up ) to maximize effectiveness of the program.
- Be willing to collaborate with Trending Up on campaigns to ensure that we build our brand and work towards reinforcing the fact that WEBER is "The Best There Is" and keep our customers informed.
- Generate in-house process/solution specific videos/documentation to build a library of knowledge reference by public and another for internal use only to maintain IP.
Development of Stable Quoting Process Incorporating SAE plug-in for SAP
- Head up the integration of SAE for quotations and quote management.
- Document the process and train specific sales on how to use SAE and maintain updates.
- Identify any user obstacles or difficulties and interface with the IT Team in Germany for any needed updates or corrections tp maintain usability and efficiency.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design Engineer, or related field
- Proven experience in CAD manipulation, blueprint reading, and Microsoft applications.
- Experience with SAP, automated assembly equipment, and possess a high mechanical aptitude.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must possess strong mathematical skills; be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to complete instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
