GENERAL SUMMARY
Join our association management client services team as a Digital Marketing Specialist.
What you’ll do: Our association management team members are the people powering progress for organizations that are in the business of bringing people together to learn, connect and accomplish more. This Digital Marketing Specialist will support our largest and longest-standing client whose members and prospective members include large commercial brands, government agencies, universities and other entities that serve as the backbone of international commerce. As the team’s go-to resource on marketing, you will have the opportunity to deliver top-quality strategy and communication that keeps this client marching forward and growing.
The Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for the client’s social media strategy and presence, managing email marketing campaigns to promote membership and special events, website maintenance and delivering a regular cadence of communication to members about online education opportunities and other member benefits. This role demands creativity, organization, attention to detail, and project management skills. The ideal candidate will enjoy content creation and social media management, have a strong technical background in email marketing automation tools (with ability to learn new platforms), and possess the design skills to create visually appealing graphics and layouts using Canva.

In this role, you would be joining a supportive, experienced client team ready to help you learn the audience and become adept at the “industry speak” used in this client’s space. Also, Etherio’s in-house marketing team will be a great source for tips, insights and mentorship. They will also be your partner on significant creative design projects, more in-depth website design and online advertising campaigns.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Email Marketing
- Create and execute email marketing campaigns using Higher Logic Real Magnet to drive conference registration, membership growth and participation in online education events ensuring effective targeting, segmentation, and workflow automation.
- Create and distribute a regular cadence of emails to promote webinar participation.
- Plan, organize, and manage marketing timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure all deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Develop and implement automated email marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and drive membership growth and renewal.
- Partner with business development in the creation of email campaigns and landing pages.
- Monitor and report on the performance of email campaigns, making data-driven decisions to improve ROI.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in email marketing to drive innovation and success.
Social Media Management
- Develop and implement social media marketing strategies and campaigns to increase brand awareness, engagement, drive traffic and generate event registrations.
- Use Hootsuite to manage social media accounts, create content calendars, schedule posts, and engage with followers to build a strong online community.
- Use Canva to create unique graphics for digital content.
- Analyze social media metrics and performance to optimize strategies and campaigns for better results.
- Engage with followers and respond to queries in a timely manner.
- Conduct research and analyze data to provide insights and recommendations, including analysis of competitors’ and key partners’ online social media presence and engagement.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Website Maintenance
- Create landing pages for major email marketing campaigns in the Higher Logic website platform.
- Organize and manage a website update calendar to ensure the continual currency of the client’s website.
- Create and post graphics on the website to complement email marketing campaigns.
Other Marketing & Communications Responsibilities
- Create and execute against an overarching communications content calendar that encompasses marketing and promotion across all communication channels (including channels managed by other team members).
- Use Canva to develop house ads for use on the website and in the client’s digital publications.
- Manage attendee communications for the client’s annual conference.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in social media management and email marketing.
- Proven track record of successful social media campaigns and email marketing strategies.
- Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for audience segmentation – getting the right message to the right people through the right means.
- Experience using marketing automation platforms.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES
- Familiarity with web analytics tools, including Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
- Familiarity with social media management platforms, including Hootsuite.
- Expert skills in Canva a plus.
- Experience with Higher Logic Real Magnet a plus.
- Light HTML knowledge a plus.
- Proficiency in editorial calendar management and project management techniques.
- Experience in marketing analytics and campaign design.
WORKPLACE LOCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Though we would prefer to hire an Atlanta-area professional who can join our team 3 days a week in our Sandy Springs office, we are open to a remote hire for an outstanding candidate.

- Requires flexibility in scheduling, such as the ability to work evenings and weekends to meet client, event, or company needs.
