Full - Time Budtender Job Description - Pay Scale ($15 - $18.50/hour)
Budtenders are the primary face of Maple Valley Pharms. As a Budtender, you are responsible for fostering a friendly, welcoming and comfortable environment by adhering to exceptional customer service practices, determining the patient’s needs and maintaining a thorough understanding of products available in-store, their applications, methods of consumption and appropriate dosage practices.
As a Budtender, you are also expected to aid in the smooth and uninterrupted functioning of the store and grow facility operations. In order to fulfill this obligation, you will need to have a flexible schedule and you may be asked to cover for other employees as needed. Also, you must be a detail-oriented organizer who takes pride in the cleanliness of their workspace. Additionally, you may be asked to assist store managers with stocking, product displays and other aspects of the business relevant to our services and in-store environment. Grow
Facility operation assistance may include facility maintenance, product manufacturing, plant care or raw material processing.
Position Requirements:
Currently Holds & Maintains Required Licensure to Work in Cannabis Industry (Registry Identification Card)
Must be 21+
Maine State Residency
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Previous Budtender Experience and / or Food Service and Retail Experience
Ability to Work Calmly and Efficiently Under Pressure

Budtender Responsibilities
Cashier:
1) Check Patient Credentials for Validity and Identity Verification / Assist Patients with Licensure Applications
2) Determine Customer Needs and Expectations
3) Fulfill Customer Requests OR Offer Satisfactory Product Alternatives
4) Answer Customer Question / Clearly Explain Cannabis-Related Topics and Concepts
5) Assist Patients with Dosage Guidance
6) Promote Safe and Effective Cannabis Use
7) Process Customer Payments with Computerized Point-of-Sale / Handle Cash & Debit Cards / Give Correct
Change
8) Ensure Drawer Accuracy
9) Answering Phone Calls
Facility Maintenance:
1) Clean High-Touch Surfaces Frequently
2) Dust Windows, Blinds, TVs, Heating Elements and Display Units
3) Sweep and Mop Floors
4) Wipe Down Windows, Plexiglass Partitions and Counter Tops
5) Take Out Trash
6) Maintain Cleanliness of Shared Bathroom
7) Monitor Parking Lot Cleanliness / Keep Parking Lot Clear of Trash
8) Water Plants
Additional Obligations and Duties:
1) Assist Shift Manager with Stocking Sales Floor
2) Assist Shift Manager with Inventory Counts & Reporting
3) Notifying Medical Card Patients of License Renewal
4) Maintain Appropriate Licensure Required for the Role (Registry Identification Card)
5) Shift Coverage (unless otherwise excused by a supervisor or area manager)
