Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician II will work independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventive, predictive and routine maintenance tasks. They will troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. All tasks will be performed while supporting the Company policies, goals, and objectives.
Position Responsibilities - Essential

Demonstrates a safety-first mindset and approach in execution of all duties

Performs both electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs of production equipment from basic hydraulic and mechanical equipment to complex PLC-controlled machinery

Replaces and repairs parts, rebuilds equipment, aligns gears, shafts, pulleys, and belts

Performs Preventive and Predictive maintenance on production equipment

Effectively troubleshoots failures and works in team environment to determine root causes of failure

Participates in plant shift meetings and continuous improvement activities
-
Participates in a maintenance training program to improve knowledge, skills, and abilities
-
Develops skills in mechanical, electrical and HVAC field
-
Utilizes CMMS system to manage work orders, create and review work history, and manage parts use

Ensure all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after the process to foster a positive safety culture by having a safety-first mindset and approach during execution of activities

Essential Skills and Experience

High School diploma or GED equivalent
-
At least 4 years of experience, preferably by formal training, in principles and standards for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment operations

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Basic Computer skills

Able to diagnose equipment faults and malfunctions

Above average mechanical aptitude

Ability to operate powered lift equipment (Forklift, wave picker, hoists, etc.)

PLC test equipment experience including troubleshooting, repairs, PM’s, and other world-class maintenance measures

Strong mathematical skills to include basic algebra for calculation of electrical/electronic equations as applicable
Beneficial Skills and Experience

Post-secondary education and/or a technical trade certificate is preferred

Expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software, and the ability to learn how to effectively use maintenance software to input data and research parts
