Currently, with 30 buildings in Chicago, Horizon also owns one building in Evanston.
Horizon Realty Group is seeking a savvy sales-oriented Property Manager to run the daily operations of the one of our residential portfolios. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all sales, operational, and financial aspects of the properties, including new leases, renewals, budget control, and maintenance requests. You will act as the manager and supervise all relevant employees. We offer a base salary plus generous commission and bonus opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of Property Manager and fiduciary duties
- Manage property inventory and meet occupancy levels
- Responsible for building rapport with residents and ensure all staff provides the highest level of service
- Keep financials, manage costs and provide updates to management
- Able to multitask, prioritize and negotiate with future and current residents
- Solve and follow through all maintenance requests filed by property residents
- Supervise all property employees
- Make recommendations to improve property and relations with tenants

Qualifications and Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3-5 years of Property Management Experience, preferable market-rate rentals
- Strong leasing and sales experience
- At least two years in a supervisory or management role
- Detail-oriented and strong verbal and written communication skills
- YARDI Property Management Software a plus
- Strong knowledge of the market (specific part of the city is appropriate)
- Must have strong computer/Microsoft Office suite knowledge (excel, word, Sharepoint, Outlook)
- Must be flexible. Weekend work is required during the busy season unless occupancy goals are met.
- Must have reliable transportation and smartphone
