Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Class A CDL Port/Rail Truck Driver with CURRENT experience moving CONTAINERS from PORTS and RAILS to join our team. The ideal candidate should have at minimum 2 years of experience in drayage and intermodal. If you do not have experience in drayage moving containers, or don't have current drayage, port, or rail experience please do not apply.

We also look for someone that will take care of the equipment. This means communicating when something is wrong, when you have an accident, and in also keeping the truck clean. We offer a 2024 Freightliner day cab that doesn't require your knowledge of manual transmissions. We expect a driver that is willing to work every day, that will be on time for their appointments, and will communicate any issues as they happen.
You should:
- Be an expert Driver with no prior accidents that can handle any size container / trailer.
- Keeping the truck clean and free of dirt, grime, and garbage
- Must know how to navigate the ports, rails, chassis pools
- Operate heavy equipment as needed for job requirements.
- Transport goods over short or long distances while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle... including tire pressure on chassis
- Be an expert communicator to the terminal at all times
To qualify, you -
Must be at least 23 years of age.
Must have 2 years verifiable experience & must have intermodal PORT & RAIL experience.
Must have current physical and supply a copy of the long form that has been registered with the DMV and completed by a physician registered with FMCSA.
Must have a valid CDL in the state of residence
Must not have had a DUI in the previous 5 years.
Must have never have failed a Drug Test.
Must provide a police report for any accident or reportable incident within the previous 3 years. Our insurance company request 5 years if they show on the MVR or PSP reports.
Must not have had more than one DOT recordable preventable accident in the last years.
Must not have more than 100 PSP points
Most of our work is within 200 miles from the port
You must keep truck interior clean at all times
We do not allow employees to smoke in the work place and that includes inside a company truck.
