Job Summary:
Brasserie du Parc is an upscale dining establishment renowned for its exquisite French cuisine, elegant ambiance, and impeccable service. Nestled in the heart of downtown Houston, our brasserie offers an authentic taste of France combined with a sophisticated dining experience. Under the guidance of Chef & Owner Jose Hernandez, one of the most talented chefs in Houston, our kitchen crafts dishes that delight the senses and elevate the dining experience to new heights. We are looking to add positive, eager and tenured servers to our team.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables, providing menus and assisting with any inquiries.
- Present and describe wine and spirit selections with confidence and expertise, offering recommendations to complement guests' meals.
- Demonstrate proficiency in French cooking techniques and menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests and dietary restrictions are accommodated.
- Deliver orders promptly and accurately, providing a seamless dining experience from start to finish.
- Anticipate guests' needs and respond promptly to requests with a courteous and attentive demeanor.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure efficient communication and seamless service.
- Uphold company standards for hospitality, professionalism, and guest satisfaction at all times.
- Continuously expand knowledge of food, wine, and spirits through training and self-directed learning.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a fine dining server in a reputable establishment.
- Advanced knowledge of wines and spirits, including varietals, regions, and pairings.
- Proficiency in cooking techniques and cuisine.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the organization.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Certification in food safety and TABC required
