The Indirect Procurement Specialist will support all aspects of Indirect activities within the US. This role will assist in flawless transitions of new initiatives, act as a project leader, provide indirect procurement support of all facilities, manage order approvals and most importantly, help drive savings for the company. This position will also work closely with both external suppliers and the Prinova Team. This position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and communication skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees and executes activities related to procurement of indirect materials and services, from intent to purchase through to delivery of project
- Support in vendor communication and problem resolution with anything that falls in the indirect category
- Acts as the corporate project support for any upcoming initiatives in the company
- Manages daily approvals of incoming orders and ensure alignment with company directive
- Communicates actively with all team members to ensure alignment and performance management of the category
- Directly solves operational issues with indirect vendors
- Reviews and resolves indirect vendor claims and contracts for conformance
- Prepares and issues purchase orders and change notices
- Ensures alignment with Procurement strategies and ways of working (where applicable)
- Understands the impact of long-term running cost and the engagement of business to minimize costs at an early stage

Required Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- 3+ years of applicable supply chain/indirect procurement experience
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience analyzing and improving supply chain data, information, and processes
- Project Manager experience highly preferred
- Excellent interpersonal written and speaking skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong critical thinking skills, ability to exercise independent judgment and manage complexity and ambiguity
- High degree of professionalism and a strong sense of ownership
- Independently motivated and autonomous; ability to make things happen
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment

Up to 10% travel

- Work environment is normally in an office setting. Must be able to make frequent rounds in a warehouse environment
- Ability to view a computer screen and type for extended hours
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to stand for an extended periods of time
- Must be able to wear any required PPE such as scrubs, hair net, lab coat, and facemask
- Ability to work in a packaging area with a moderate powder substance in the air with or without a respirator
- Ability to work above shoulders
- Other physical requirements include frequent squatting, bending, twisting, and bi-lateral wrist movement
- Ability to adjust work schedule as business needs require
