Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY:
Assists and supports surgical staff including registered technicians, technician assistants and doctors. Maintains clean and ready to use operating rooms and surgical instrumentation. Keeps operating rooms, induction area, surgical prep area well stocked and organized. Performs laundry duties, cleaning of instruments, wrapping of instrument packs and individual instruments. Notifies surgery department supervisor of any missing or damaged instruments and/or supplies.
Responsibilities and Duties
Essential Job Functions
- Assist Technicians and doctors
- Set up operating rooms
- Thoroughly clean operating rooms
- Clean surgical instruments
- Wrap surgical instruments (packs and individual)
- Set up postoperative kennels for surgical patients
- Maintain anesthetic machines (routine leak checks, change sodalyme, fill isoflurane, etc)
- Order radiographs and set up machine for technicians
- Laundry
- Stocking of supplies
- Perform regular inventory of equipment/supplies
- Other duties as assigned by supervisors and/or management team.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
