Clinician Supervisor Job Description Summary
Administrative:
- Oversee Clinical Program and ensure compliance with all state and federal licenses, contracts and certifications.
- Optimize assignment of cases to clinical staff
- Ensure that staff meet all role expectations and program requirements
- Review staff progress notes daily
- Maintain NLCWC’s expectations and policies for productivity, compliance and timely submission of documentation
- Carry out performance evaluations with staff on a timely basis in accordance with NLCWC's policies and procedures
- Participate in chart review
- Submit accurate management reports on a timely basis
- Ensure that financial and revenue targets are met
- Provide input into NLCWC’s strategic plan
- Assist in hiring and orientation process
- Ensure all required regular trainings for FSS staff are scheduled
- Serve as an advocate for NLCWC through external relationships with agencies, referral sources and funders
- Other duties as needed
Clinical:
- Provide individual and group supervision to staff
- Ensure clinicians remain up to date in their field
- Provide emergency response as needed
- Be part of NLCWC's on-call clinical rotation
- Carry a small caseload
- Attend external trainings necessary to support licensure (if licensed)
- Attend internal supervision and mandated trainings scheduled by NLCWC
- Must be willing and flexible to work occasional evenings and weekends outside scheduled office hours
- Other duties as needed
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong supervisory and managerial experience with demonstrated leadership skills
- In-depth knowledge of and experience with DCF programs
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills
- Good clinical chart review skills
- Computer literacy and proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite Required (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Sufficient understanding of Electronic Health Record (EHR) software
Education and Experience:
- Minimum Master's Degree in Human Services
- Current Massachusetts License: Preferred but not required (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCSW)
- Minimum 2 years clinical supervision experience
- Experience working in community-based settings and serving a diverse population with behavioral health issues
- Ability to speak a second language a plus!
