Construction Site Superintendent | Full-Time
MSP Construction | Milwaukee, WI
Salary: $110,000 to $140,000
MSP Construction is seeking an experienced site superintendent to supervise completion of a 80 unit wood-framed multifamily housing developments in Wauwatosa, WI, with the potential for future projects throughout the state of Wisconsin, primarily focused in Metro Milwaukee and Metro Madison.
Strong candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of field experience. Candidates should also have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, be experienced in team and project management, have strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written, and be capable of resolving problems and conflicts as they arise during the course of the project.
MSP Construction, as General Contractor, has completed over $300 Million in projects over its nearly 20-year history and specializes in multifamily apartments and senior living campuses. Our annual construction spend is between $20M and $40M. MSP Construction is a wholly-owned subsidiary of MSP Real Estate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with project manager in developing and maintaining a feasible project schedule
Enforce safety rules, local codes, and all governing authorities
Assist project manager in field checking and turn-around of shop drawings
Complete all field reports and documents related to project such as daily log, erosion control, job site meeting minutes, and progress photos
Ensure accuracy and quality control of subcontractors’ work
Schedule and meet with inspectors and other building/government officials
Work with owner, architect, engineer, and project manager to resolve errors or conflicts found in drawings or specifications
Document proposed change orders and back charges
Maintain a correct and complete set of drawings and documents on site at all times
Monitor jobsite cleanup, erosion control, and temporary labor force
Conduct owner and subcontractor walk-throughs and help prepare punch lists.
Education and Qualifications:
5+ years’ experience in field experience in the construction industry
Understanding of construction management processes and means and methods
Excellent time management and project management skills
Proven leadership skills based on a track record of successful projects
Authorization to work permanently in the U.S.
