Job Description:
Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Carpentry Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role involves working with various tools and equipment, including industrial nail guns, measuring tapes, and saws, to construct, assemble, and wooden components used in our production process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, excellent measurement skills, and the ability to operate industrial machinery safely and efficiently within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Construction and Assembly:
- Construct and assemble wooden components and fixtures used in the manufacturing process using industrial nail guns, saws, and other carpentry tools.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials to specified dimensions using measuring tapes and saws.
- Ensure all carpentry work meets quality standards and project specifications.
- Tool and Equipment Operation:
- Operate industrial nail guns, saws, and other carpentry equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, performing regular inspections and minor repairs as needed.
- Blueprint and Specification Interpretation:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements and layout.
- Accurately follow measurements and technical instructions to ensure precise construction and assembly.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures while operating tools and equipment.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and ensure a clean and safe work environment.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect completed work for accuracy and quality, making adjustments as necessary.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a carpenter or in a similar role, with a focus on industrial carpentry in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in using industrial nail guns, saws, measuring tapes, and other carpentry tools.
- Strong understanding of carpentry techniques, materials, and construction methods relevant to manufacturing.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Excellent measurement skills and attention to detail.
- Good physical condition, with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all safety regulations and procedures.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Formal training or apprenticeship in carpentry is preferred.
- Relevant certifications or licenses in carpentry or construction are a plus.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time position with regular working hours. Occasional overtime may be required based on project needs.
- 1st shift - 7:00 am - 3:30pm
- 2nd shift - 4:00pm - 12:30 am
