JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: Broad range of experience in drywall, carpet, and/or structural systems
Certificates/Licenses:
1. Must hold a valid Colorado Driver’s License at all times

4. Demonstrates ability in performing mathematical calculations in order to cost out projects
5. Demonstrates ability to learn and utilize computer hardware and software as it relates to job assignments
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Performs skilled maintenance work in the repair, alteration, or construction of articles and structures made of wood, metal, sheetrock, block, concrete and other materials on District buildings and equipment
2. Cost out projects when requested and makes appropriate recommendations regarding methods and materials
3. Answers service calls and performs assigned project work in a timely manner
4. Performs preventive maintenance on building structures and equipment as assigned
5. Evaluates and repairs building structure issues and makes repair recommendations
6. Performs maintenance repairs on metal, wood, sheetrock, roofing, cabinets and trim
7. Performs maintenance repairs or replacement of floor tile, ceramic tile and carpet
8. Performs maintenance or replacement of doors, door hardware and locks
9. Operates power equipment, hand tools and all equipment as it relates to job assignment
10. Demonstrates a positive attitude towards change
11. Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively, collaborate with co-workers, and interact with colleagues in a professional manner
12. Performs such other tasks as may, from time to time, be assigned.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The employee occasionally must work in dark, tight, confined places.

Pay: $19.90 - $23.50 per hour
