General Position Description
The Quality Assurance Manager position requires extensive knowledge of current TX DFPS Minimum Standards, other contracting agency requirements, and Child Placing Agency operations documentation, which is tracked to ensure the highest quality of compliance. This position ensures that all agency policies, procedures, and operations documentation reflect the integrity and quality of state standards. The Quality Assurance Manager is also responsible for ensuring that all client and foster home records tracking documentation is accurate and organized.
Performance Requirements
1. Communicate with the Quality Assurance Supervisor regarding all investigations, random samplings, and other hot spots regarding compliance. Gather documents about inspections and investigations to send for review to the Quality Assurance Supervisor.
2. Complete and maintain family and child audits.
3. Work alongside the case managers to review and maintain home and child audits, as well as alongside the Quality Assurance Supervisor.
4. Will participate in on-call rotation.
5. Assist Quality Assurance Supervisor with compliance needs, and documentation.
6. Regularly review all clients and foster home requirements and ensure requirements are met promptly.
7. Review and maintain audit spreadsheets.
8. Seek continual growth and education.
9. Upload compliance documents to Casebook.
10. Other duties as assigned.
Typical Physical Demands
Individuals must have good physical and mental health. Requires sitting, standing, walking, turning, driving, stooping, bending, lifting, and carrying while assisting with everyday programmatic and operational concerns. Must be able to use both hands with dexterity, see well enough to read reports, monitor children/youth, drive a vehicle, and observe discrete behaviors. Must be able to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced environment with others. Must carry a valid driver’s license.
Special Demands
Possess the ability to make responsible, sound recommendations and decisions under the direction and supervision of the Quality Assurance Supervisor. Possess the ability to make responsible, sound decisions in emergencies and accept responsibility in their absence. Must become familiar with, understand, and uphold all confidentiality and abuse reporting requirements dictated by law. Must represent The Sanctuary Foster Care Services, clients, and family members with the highest degree of integrity, professionalism, and honesty.
Qualifications
Must have/be: 1) Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in psychology, social work, health education, or a related human services field, and three years’ experience working with youth and families; 2) at least 21 years of age; 3) a mature and responsible adult capable of acting in a role model capacity; 4) capable of making a long-term commitment to caring for children; 5) a love for children/youth and enjoy working with them; 6) a valid driver’s license with a good driving record; 7) a concern for children/youth in need and a strong desire to actively assist with our mission and philosophy; 8) an ability to implement all phases of The Sanctuary Foster Care Services’ model 9) an ability to work flexible hours and effectively manage multiple assignments. Direct and relevant experience in child welfare services is preferred. Must be able and willing to comply with all state, federal, and local regulations. 10) Has or is willing to obtain CPMS qualifications. 11) Has or is willing to obtain LCPAA qualifications.
Job Knowledge
Must understand (or have the ability to learn) the needs of children in foster care and those with emotional/behavioral difficulties. Knowledge of the broad field of child welfare and the overall needs of children and their families is preferable. The position requires a working knowledge of operational policies, procedures, standards, rules, and regulations governing confidentiality, operations, and protocol. Must possess demonstrable qualities that enable effective interaction with children in foster care
(such as giving and receiving affection, sensitivity, emotional maturity, ability to deal with frustration and conflict, and a sense of humor).

Pay: $45,000.00 per year
