NYC based General Contractor is looking for a full-time Project Manager to join our team! As Project Manager you will plan, direct, and coordinate activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems as well as participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization and management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.
- Work with project executives and confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
- Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes or additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare and submit budget estimates and progress and cost tracking reports.
- Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients, representing the owner or developer.
- Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
- Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction sites.
- Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.
- Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.
- Select, contract, and oversee workers who complete specific pieces of the project, such as painting or plumbing.
Knowledge:
- Materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings or other structures such as highways and roads.
- Business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- The practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
- Design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
- Machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in engineering or similar field.
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience related to construction, design, finance and management required
- Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes / standards and their impact on project activities.
