JERA Americas (JAM) holds strategic investments in energy infrastructure such as conventional natural gas/oil-fired electricity generation, renewable electricity generation, and natural gas liquefaction. As JAM expands its investments in 2024, we are constructing a financial asset management team to provide standardized services for our wholly-owned and joint venture investments. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for compiling the monthly financial reporting package(s), budget to actual variance analysis and all project level accounting for a power plant portfolio. The Accounting Manager reports to the Sr. Accounting Manager, is a direct support for the initiatives set forth by the Portfolio Financial Asset Manager, and regularly interacts with plant personnel. The Accounting Manager has top-to-bottom responsibilities for their portfolio which include finalizing the monthly close, assisting in the preparation of cash forecasts, assembly of cash withdrawal certificates, preparing the template and gathering/understanding inputs in the annual budget process, explaining budget-to-actual variances, drafting of financial statements including required disclosures in accordance with US GAAP. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with the idea of taking on the entire accounting function for the portfolio and acquiring the array of knowledge required to run a power generation facility.
