PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To perform non-invasive Echocardiography and vascular examinations
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform echo and stress echo, examinations following established protocols
-
Uses ultrasound equipment to direct high-frequency sound waves to a prescribed area of the patient's body and capture quality images that describe the composition, shape and motion of tissues, organs, vessels and pathology.

Perform vascular diagnostic studies including peripheral venous, peripheral arterial and visceral, cerebrovascular.

Communicate effectively with patient, physicians, and other medical staff

Assist with ACR and IAC accreditation processes

Familiarity working in a sterile patient environment

Procure daily statistical activity information
AGE SPECIFIC STATEMENT:

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed at testing centers, hospitals, clinics and/or physician offices as required. Technologists must drive to and from the testing facility in all weather conditions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE:
Performance of clinical job duties has a reasonably anticipated risk of occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens or other infectious materials. Employees are required to wear protective equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates or Bachelors of Science degree from an accredited ultrasound program

Board certification through the ARDMS and/or CCI required. Licensure must be maintained through continuing education.

Previous echo/vascular ultrasound experience is desirable, recent grads welcome to apply

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider required.

Valid Drivers license required.
