Arapahoe Park Pediatrics is seeking a Full Time MA, LPN & RN positions - Flexibility to travel between both locations (Lone Tree & Littleton offices)

Applicants must have the following qualifications: 1-2 years pediatric LPN/RN experience - (Note: Salary based on experience)
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist patient to exam room and perform preliminary duties such as vitals, preliminary health history to identify chief complaint, and perform any required testing and screening.
- Efficiently maintain patient flow in accordance with provider’s schedule and time demands.
- Manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment.
- Efficiently manage task lists in EHR by reviewing, following up, and completing assigned tasks.
- Perform clinical skills per policies and procedures.
- Assist providers when appropriate during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.
- Accurately and efficiently chart patient information in EHR per documentation guidelines.
- Provide comprehensive, age-appropriate care to patients
- Collaborate with providers, nursing and front office staff to promote a cohesive team environment.
- Assist with answering incoming calls during peak hours and in down time as able.
- Work together with the patient and family to best promote healthful practices and disease prevention.
- Seek supervision and consultation when needed.
- Act as an advocate for patients and family.
- Complete pharmacy refills, clinical forms, and other tasks as assigned.
- Arrange for outside lab work, testing, radiology, hospital admissions, and referrals per provider orders.
- Follow up with patients per provider regarding labs, test results, and other required patient/parent communication.
- Complete end of day responsibilities, including but not limited to; completing all EHR orders and nurse end of day check list.
- Stock exam rooms and nursing areas with necessary supplies and materials. Maintain cleanliness and disinfection of exam rooms and work areas.
- Maintain professional knowledge and clinical skills by attending in-services, required meetings, and other professional development opportunities.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Other duties and projects may be assigned as needed.
- Triage and prioritize phone calls.
- Provide advice per phone nurse protocols.
- Offer compassion, empathy, and reassurance to patients/parents.
- Accurately document concerns/questions in patient chart in EHR.
- Follow-up regarding patient lab and test results per provider request.
- Follow-up regarding after-hours concerns per provider request.
- Verify throat cultures are read and accurately documented in EHR, following up on any positives in a timely manner.
- Manage float nurse schedule and efficiently maintain patient flow.
- Send drop-off specimens in a timely manner according to protocols.
- Assist coworkers with procedures and orders as needed.
- Assist with clinical forms, projects, and orders in downtime to make efficient use of time.
- Complete end of day nurse checklist and assist coworkers in completing tasks to assure a timely exit for all.
- Work with assigned provider to provide consistency in patient care and communication.
- Work flows, procedures, and projects as assigned and determined by team provider and nurse.
Requirements:
- Licensed Practical RN or LPN license is required
- Experience working with children in a pediatric setting is preferred
- Candidate must be organized, detail oriented, and a team player who works well under pressure
- Must possess a love for children and an ability to provide compassionate care
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
