We are currently seeking a professional to work as an Assistant Residential Manager located in Brooklyn who will provide support to the Residential Manager as follows:
- In the absence of the Residential Program Manager, has overall responsibility and oversight of the facility or facilities.
- Assists the Residential Manager in formulating, coordinating, and supervising the development and implementation of quality programming goals and objectives for the personal growth and development of the program participants.
- Oversees, and provides direct supervision to staff to ensure the accurate implementation of daily goals and objectives as defined by the developmental plan and programming.
- Reviews monthly progress notes and individual program plans to ensure accuracy, determine whether changes are needed, and advise Residential Program Manager of same.
- Assists the Residential Program Manager in the monitoring of facility budget.
- Provides training to Direct Support Staff/DSP in the areas of ADL, personal hygiene/grooming, dietary needs, program goals and objectives, client rights, fire safety and anything else deemed necessary by their immediate supervisor.
- Provides support to Residential Program Manager to ensure that all records and documentation for financial, programmatic and client related information is accurate, appropriate and current.
- Provides guidance and support where necessary to ensure that the needs of the individuals are being met, through advocacy, review of records and plans and active participation with program participants.
- Ensures the accurate administration of prescribed medications through direct review of records, supervision of AMAP on duty and relays all pertinent information to the Residential Program Manager.
Position Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED, and at minimum five (5) years experience working with special needs population. Supervisory experience in any field a plus.
- AMAP Certified
- Good communication and writing skills a must!
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic Computer Skills (Windows, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Word and Excel).
This position has regular and substantial unsupervised or unrestricted physical contact with individuals receiving services, therefore complete background check including Statewide Registry and fingerprinting for a criminal history record.
