Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Mobile Crisis Peer Supporter to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide immediate support and assistance to individuals experiencing mental health crises in various community settings.
Duties:
- Respond to crisis calls and provide on-site support to individuals in crisis situations
- Utilize crisis management techniques to de-escalate situations and provide emotional support
- Collaborate with emergency services, mental health professionals, and community resources to ensure comprehensive care
- Offer peer counseling and guidance to individuals struggling with mental health challenges
- Assist in developing safety plans and follow-up strategies for individuals post-crisis
- Maintain accurate documentation of interventions and outcomes
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in crisis intervention or related fields such as mental health counseling, addiction counseling, or social work
- Knowledge of behavioral health systems and resources
- Strong mentoring skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with individuals in crisis
- Familiarity with motivational interviewing techniques
- Ability to work effectively in high-stress environments and adapt to unpredictable situations

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $23,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
