Ziglift Material Handling, a leading independent provider of warehouse storage solutions nationwide, is seeking a driven & results-oriented Business Development Specialist to join our esteemed sales team. With six strategically located facilities across the nation, we excel in delivering turnkey, innovative, and cost-effective warehouse storage solutions to our valued customers.
The Business Development Specialist focuses on developing new and existing customer relationships, identifying expansion opportunities, and driving growth within and beyond the industry. The position reports directly to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO).
Duties & Responsibilities
· Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through various methods, including cold calling, networking, and industry research.
· Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
· Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify potential clients, understand industry trends, and assess competitive landscape.
· Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve business growth targets.
· Proposal Development: Prepare and present business proposals, sales pitches, and presentations to potential clients.
· Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, and product development teams to align business development efforts with company goals.
· Product Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s products and services, as well as industry developments and trends.
· Customer Solutions: Understand customer operations and warehouse layout requirements to offer tailored, optimal solutions and apply knowledge of pallet racking and automation systems.
· Project Documentation: Maintain organized project documentation, ensure timely client follow-ups, and provide prompt responses.
· CRM Management: Collate and maintain client information in the CRM databases.
· Company Alignment: Align with the company’s vision and goals, collaborating with senior sales representatives and executives.
· Organizational Skills: Maintain strong organizational skills to manage and monitor projects effectively.
· Communication: Maintain firm communication with customers and vendors to ensure profitable project outcomes.
· Flexibility: Primarily office-based, with flexibility to meet customers as needed to secure deals.
Qualifications and Skills
· Educational Background: Associate’s degree in business management, marketing, or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
· Professional Experience: 5 or more years of relevant experience in business development required
· Industry Expertise: Minimum of 4 years of experience with Material Handling Equipment (Pallet Racking & Warehouse Storage Solutions) required
· Outreach: Innovative approach to outreach, utilizing creative strategies beyond traditional calls and door-to-door methods.
· Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
· Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
· Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and project management skills with a high attention to detail.
· Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office 360, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
· Personal Attributes: Friendly and positive demeanor.

Salary Range: $50,000 - $90,000 base plus commission

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, performance.
