Insurance Claims Specialist Construction (60% of position)
The selected candidate will manage all phases of litigated and non-litigated general liability, workers comp, commercial auto liability, and bodily injury claims.
Further responsibilities include obtaining favorable results through investigating, evaluating, reserving, reporting, recommending, negotiating, and managing litigation.
Required Skills
· 5 years minimum relevant work experience are required.
· Good work ethic, ability to work independently, strong evaluation and analysis skills, and proficient writing skills are necessary.
· Knowledge of GL, WC and Auto coverage, claim management protocol, and the litigation process are also needed
· Strong work ethic
· Excellent skills in investigating, evaluating, communicating, computer use, and time management are necessary
· Ability to work independently and effectively with clients, brokers, attorneys and other departments is required
Perform various clerical and administrative duties required to support the insurance requests. This may include, but in not limited to:
- obtaining renewal quotes in a timely fashion
- making copies; sending faxes; filing; scanning
- setting up and verifying the accuracy of certificates and schedules of insurance
- Perform duties which include resolving issues related to claims, making changes to policies, and responding to policy/coverage related questions.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments with tight deadlines, accurately assess unit priorities, manage personal time efficiently, and work with a minimum of supervision.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, and detail-oriented environment where multiple projects are in motion at all times;
Experience:
- Construction Administration: 3 years (Preferred)
- working with insurance: 3 years (Preferred)
Truck Fleet Management (40% of position)
- Coordinate all aspects of maintaining driver, equipment and truck fleet files.
- Responsible for asset inventory of major equipment, trucks, and vehicles.
- Maintain vehicle registration, inspections, EZ Pass, driver information, finance agreements and insurance.
Dispute, track, and resolve all moving violations / tickets using contracted consultants
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
