Responsibilities:
Monitor and improve contract management workflows, procedures, and templates while maintaining reviews and revisions of the contracts.
Providing assistance to team members as needed to assist with submitting new contracts and/or securing applicable due diligence documents.
Consult with Corporate Counsel and Chief Risk Officer on contract risk and terms based on a strong understanding of business strategy and product lines.
Act as primary contact for internal stakeholders to request and receive contracts and related documents.
Actively track current contracts for termination dates and notify corresponding stakeholders as to the same.
Edit and review contracts and statements of work to obtain commercial terms while mitigating risk.
Advise and interpret contract requirements, obligations and risks and investigate/follow-up on contracted related issues.
Work both independently/autonomously and as part of a team to identify and analyze unique contractual relationships.
Implement efforts to develop and design contract management systems, processes, and procedures. This includes contract ownership transition and transfer.
Assist in trainings to engage and educate corporate-wide business departments to promote compliance with contract development practices and the role of the business unit after contract execution.
Support training relating to contract development and negotiation where appropriate, provide training and/or mentoring.
Assist Vice President of Enterprise Risk Control with securing and uploading due diligence documents.
Manage contract storage platform for prospective and current vendors.
Reviews contract amendments, changes, and in and out going correspondence.
Ability to type or create letters, reports, and project documentation in a final format from rough notes or drafts.
Position Requirements:
This position is Remote.
5+ years of experience as a vendor management specialist, vendor management associate, or contract management is Required.
Knowledge of contract management principles, along with knowledge of accounting, finance, and business procedures and practices as they relate to contracts.
Demonstrated strong contract development skills including the development and implementation of risk mitigation and performance standards and measures.
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
