Duties
- Develop and implement engaging and interactive lesson plans in accordance with the curriculum guidelines
- Utilize instructional design principles to create effective learning experiences for students
- Teach various topics in science, including molecular biology, genetics, and math-related concepts
- Incorporate hands-on experiments and activities to enhance student understanding and engagement
- Utilize research laboratory resources to provide real-world examples and applications of scientific concepts
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student participation and collaboration
- Use behavior management strategies to maintain a productive and respectful learning environment
Skills
- Strong knowledge of molecular biology, genetics, and other science-related subjects
- Proficient in lesson planning and instructional design techniques
- Ability to effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to students of varying levels of understanding
- Strong math skills, including the ability to calculate scientific formulas and equations
- Familiarity with research laboratory procedures and safety protocols
- Excellent behavior management skills to maintain a positive classroom environment
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree
- Must have a current Florida Teaching Certificate, Temp, or Statement of Eligibility.
