- Operate GPS-guided heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators, graders, and backhoes for construction or earthmoving projects.
- Interpret GPS and survey data to ensure accurate positioning and navigation of heavy equipment.
- Conduct pre-operation checks and regular maintenance on GPS systems and heavy equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and engineers to understand project specifications and work plans.
- Adjust equipment settings and operations according to real-time GPS feedback to meet precise grade and construction requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and GPS data logs.
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols while operating heavy equipment to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Communicate effectively with other crew members to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient workflow on the job site.
- Troubleshoot GPS system issues, perform minor repairs, or coordinate with technicians for major repairs.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new GPS technology and heavy equipment operation best practices.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding construction operations and GPS equipment usage.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for improving GPS operation processes and equipment performance.
- Assist with manual construction tasks when necessary to support project completion and team efforts.
- Report any discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards to the supervisor

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
