Are you passionate about building brands and relationships? Do you love to laugh and have a good time? We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Territory Manager to join our growing sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for establishing and expanding our presence in the Atlanta market by identifying and securing new accounts for Chuckle Rum - the first, premium humor-centric, fun fruit-flavored rum.
You'll play a a crucial role in driving sales, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and implementing strategic initiatives to achieve business objectives.
Responsibilities:
Market Analysis and Strategy:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential opportunities and areas for growth in the Atlanta market.
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue and market share objectives.
- Maintain good relationships with event partners.
- Analyze competitor activities and market trends to stay ahead of industry developments.
Business Development:
- Plan and execute sales strategy for assigned territory, achieve volume, distribution, and profit goals.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships at all levels to maximize opportunities for expanded sales execution.
- Identify and prospect new accounts, including bars, restaurants, liquor stores, and other relevant outlets.
- Establish and maintain a regular weekly schedule of account appointments, including sales calls, work-withs and distributor meetings.
- Negotiate and close sales agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for both the company and the client.
Account Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target accounts.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Conduct regular business reviews to assess account performance and identify areas for improvement.
Marketing and Promotion:
- Work closely and strategically with marketing team to increase awareness, drive sales; and ensure brand is programmed and executed with all stakeholders.
- Provide feedback on market trends and customer preferences to inform product development and marketing strategies.
- Regularly attend selected promotional events to oversee, assist, and evaluate the quality of the promotion.
- Lead meaningful and impactful consumer interaction that drives local market buzz, including sampling programs, experiential marketing activations and press events.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate weekly and monthly reports on sales performance, market trends, and account activities.
- Utilize data and insights to make informed decisions and adjustments to the sales strategy.
- Report to internal stakeholders on topics including, but not limited to: brand performance, market trends, competitive activity, and special projects/events.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of beverage / cpg sales experience with a proven track record of success.
- Knowledge of the beverage alcohol industry, distributor operations & sales.
- Familiarity with the South Florida market (primarily Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach) and its key players.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Willingness to travel within the designated territory.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google applications.
- Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must reside in priority market.
- Valid driver’s license with access to reliable transportation.
- Ability to work occasional weekends and evenings as needed.
- Up to 25% overnight travel may be required.
- Must be at least 21 years old to apply.
- Ensure all sales efforts comply with state laws.
- Must pass a background check.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
Compensation:
