Responsibilities:

Perform installations, modifications, and upgrades on trucks and commercial vehicles, including but not limited to: electrical systems, lighting, audio systems, HVAC systems, safety equipment, and specialty accessories.

Interpret installation instructions, blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to ensure accurate and precise installations.

Collaborate with customers, engineers, and other team members to understand project requirements and provide input on technical feasibility and best practices.

Assemble and install components and parts using hand and power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools as needed.

Conduct tests and inspections to ensure that installed components and systems meet quality and safety standards, troubleshooting and resolving any issues as needed.

Document all work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and any modifications or deviations from original specifications.

Provide technical support and assistance to customers and colleagues, answering questions and addressing concerns related to installations and modifications.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials.

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in automotive technology or a related field preferred.

Prior experience working as a technician in the automotive, trucking, or related industry, with experience in installations and modifications preferred.

Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.

Proficiency in using hand and power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools and equipment.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team when needed.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with customers and colleagues.
