Position Summary
Marugame Udon is seeking an eager and highly motivated HR Coordinator. The HR Coordinator will assist the HR department and its various functions including onboarding, terminations, audits, reporting, benefits, investigations, and email correspondence. This role has a work schedule of Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5 PM. HR Coordinator may be required to work occasional weekends.
Job Responsibilities
- Support recruitment and selection process by reviewing and posting job requisitions, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and sending follow up communications.
- Process employee onboardings, terminations, unemployment claims, and employment verification.
- Support New Restaurant Opening hiring and onboarding.
- Assist with workplace investigations and workers compensation safety investigations.
- Participate in the development and implementation of HR initiatives and programs to enhance employee engagement and retention.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders and departments to ensure consistent and effective communication and implementation of HR policies and training initiatives.
- Review and audit employee anti-harassment training, food handler’s cards, and workers compensation claims. Assist with generating monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance reporting.
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with all HR policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Manage and maintain HRIS, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of employee information.
- Respond to employee inquires for HRIS assistance.
- Assists with administration of company benefits, including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Corresponds with insurance providers, processes benefits deductions, and reconciles benefits statements and COBRA.
- Assist with all other tasks as requested.
Qualifications
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the year.
- Effective communicator (oral and written) and active listener.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Fluent in Spanish is a plus.
