Responsibilities:
- Passion for outside sales, networking and relationship building
- Owns interactions with challenging or emotional customer situations
- Expresses ideas thoughtfully through verbal and written communication
- Comprehension of implication of business decisions in relation to profitability
- Responds promptly to customer needs and solicits feedback to improve upon service while actively meeting guests expectations
- Actively solicits and develops new business through constant prospecting, telemarketing, e-mail blasts, outside sales appointments, tradeshows and networking
- Solicits and responds to sales inquiries from potential clients and customers seeking group-sleeping rooms, meeting space, food & beverage services etc.
- Serves as primary contact for meetings and banquet functions to ensure all events are an ultimate success
- Uses every opportunity to upsell hotel services
- Help facilitate weekly BEO meetings with Food & Beverage and Banquet Staff
- Handles details of all definite groups including menu planning, Audio Visual, process and distribute BEOs, distribution of group resumes, rooming lists & billing
- Actively maintains relationships with assigned accounts through various communication methods
- Assists DOS with Social Media Marketing campaigns, participates in sales blitz and is always on the hunt for new business
- Responsible for weekly & monthly sales reporting
- Prepares monthly and quarterly annual reports to assist with forecast
- Responsible for implementations of sales action plan for the development of assigned market segments which includes room blocks, solicitation goals, trade show and participation in touring the hotels’ competitive set
- Attends mandatory weekly staff meetings. Communicates all pertinent information on upcoming group needs, VIP clients, meeting functions to hotel department staff
- Reconciles group bill with clients and submits for approval
- Meets/exceeds assigned sales goals and solicitation goals
- Completes additional duties assigned by DOS
Requirements:
- 2 years experience in Hotel Sales preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Proficiency in Social Media Applications
- Proficiency in Salesforce/Delphi preferred
