Salary: $139,395 –$181,216
This position is a TERM position NOT to exceed 2 years but maybe extended.
Join us and you will develop analysis and create models in response to Air Force senior leader information requirements. You will develop solutions for a variety of HR problems (i.e. childcare studies, force management, etc.). Your analysis will influence the entire lifecycle of an Airmen, from accessions, to promotions, to retention modeling. You will participate in workgroups and conferences while collaborating with relevant external entities.Qualifications/Requirements:
The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as a key analyst and recognized expert performing professional and scientific work requiring the design, development, and adaptation of mathematical, statistical, econometric, and other scientific methods and techniques and provide advice and insight about the probable effects of alternative courses of action.
- U.S. Citizenship
- Be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, computer science. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must been in calculus. One of the physical sciences, engineering or a closely-related scientific disciplines highly desired. Advanced degree(s) are preferred.
- Knowledge and mastery of a broad range of operations research analysis techniques used in classical and modern advanced operations research studies and possession of analytical abilities.
- Knowledge of expert quantitative techniques and methods used to develop, adapt, modify, and apply models to resolve problems or define and clarify alternative solutions.
- Skills in critical thinking, communication, teamwork, collaboration, expertise coding tools SAS, R or Python, expert data visualization tools-Tableau, Power BI or Qlik.
- Familiarity with database management and with human capital, personnel management, talent development.
- Skill to negotiate and/or defend findings and program support concepts.
- Ability to participate and/or lead study teams; originate new ideas, projects, and methodologies; and execute projects and/or studies within established financial and/or time constraints.
- Ability to develop and utilize appropriate data collection techniques and design, build, and use models and simulation techniques.
