Principle Responsibilities/Key Results Areas
The Maintenance Support Technician will play a key role in assisting the Maintenance Manager by assuring the highest level of safety, health and environmental standards while achieving maximum production and profitability. The Maintenance Support Tech will support field activities to ensure long-term reliability of solar assets.
- Work with engineers, planners, and supervisors to coordinate and complete all work order packages.
- Manages Preventative Maintenance (PM) work order systems to assure that all required PMs are scheduled and routed to technicians.
- Responsible for inputting preliminary job plans and labor hours for PM work.
- Monitors quality of PM documents to assure that work plans, equipment, GL accounts and other information are correct.
- Upon completion of regular or preventive maintenance work by technicians, reviews feedback to verify work accomplished, failure codes, hours worked, and completion summary completed.
- Ensuring all asset information is entered correctly and consistently.
- Implementation of the standardized work packages into Maximo.
- Ensuring that work activities are associated with the correct assets for proper scheduling.
- Ensuring that information is provided for evaluation of the process through data analysis and reports
- Develops and runs non-standard reports/queries of data in Maximo database, providing for optimized, well organized, clear, concise reports which are used in the review of tools, materials, labor, spare parts on all work orders, for verifying the authenticity of the material, and labor costs and to identify and correct erroneous charges.
- Understanding of inventory controls and material receiving and issuing.
- Answer inquiries about work order status, equipment maintenance history, preventive maintenance, and outstanding trouble reports.
- Write requisitions, research specifications and gather information for ordering new equipment and supplies assigned to the work order, as requested, to assist planners or supervisors.
- Provide training to technicians, engineers, clerical staff, and supervisors.

Experience & Education
· 2 years as a planner / scheduler at a power plant or utility
· Experience at large utility solar and wind plants preferred.
· 2 years of Maximo experience.
Qualifications
· Travel up to 10% on average, at locations or project sites may be required.
· Ability to work effectively in power plant environments and field site locations required.
· Capable of contributing in a team environment with site personnel as well as third party contractors.
· Fundamental understanding of the following required:
o Current-day solar PV and wind generation technologies
o Electrical interconnections and control systems
· Solid people and communication skills required.
