Job Summary| The Parts Room Assistant is responsible for maintaining parts inventory throughout the plant and ensuring the accuracy of inventory records and completing weekly cycle counts. Assist Purchasing Agent- Parts Supervisor to effectively process invoices for AP process and Maintenance of Cardinal Account Systems for parts.
Essential Functions |

- Collaborate with the purchasing team and supervisor to be cross-functional within the department
- Work closely with the Receiving Department to ensure that all parts and supplies are delivered to the correct location
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner with co-workers and contract vendors
- Maintains stocked parts inventory throughout plant, working at a desk and in the plant equally
- Data entry by adding new parts as required to Cardinal accounting system
- Prioritize product flow through the department to ensure on-time delivery to whoever placed the order
- Stage and or gather part that will be needed for technicians to complete the PM’s when parts are required
- Oversee maintenance and organization of raw materials, component parts, and supplies
- Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies
- Provide aid with purchase orders; verify part numbers, and pricing for conformance to company agreements
- Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers
- Support supervisor with payment for purchases by forwarding receiving documentation to AP Department as instructed
- Keep purchase order information accessible by sorting and filing documents
- Utilize strong organizational skills, and high attention to detail, to maintain accuracy within the department
- Maintain a working knowledge of the materials and supplies to be purchased
- Support purchasing planning and control information by assisting in collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
- Assist with weekly and month-end inventory counts and make adjustments as needed
- Flexibility - may be required to work overtime to meet customer deadlines

- Noise level can be high and will vary based on location in the plant on-site position
Note: A baseline audiogram will be completed prior to the employee’s orientation
Prior Experience |
- Manufacturing or warehousing experience, preferred but not required
- Knowledge of purchasing systems, practices, and standards.
- Proficient with computers and MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook, E1 and PM Ware
- Requires a high school diploma or GED

1st Shift: $17.00 + Potential Monthly Profit Sharing
