The Role: As a Warehouse Shift Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient fulfilment of online orders. Working under the guidance of the Warehouse Manager, you will oversee the daily activities of warehouse associates, prioritize tasks, and ensure that orders are processed accurately and on time.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Provide leadership and direction to warehouse associates during the shift.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively to ensure efficient workflow.
Order Fulfilment
- Coordinate order picking, packing, and shipping activities to meet daily targets
- Ensure the orders are picked, packed and shipped in accordance with KPIs
- Quality assure returns to assess for damage and report to appropriate authority
- Ensure packing of orders are validated as accurate before collected
- Prepare orders in line with priority of the day and to the required timelines
- Complete orders accurately and ensure fully completed with tags removed and checked for quality issues before stacking for collection
Inventory & Stock Management
- Assist in managing inventory levels and stock rotation to optimize storage space
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with stock replenishment as needed
- Organize rackings to ensure the most efficient picking system
- Report any out of stock orders or incomplete orders
- Responsible for receiving all stock in accordance with stock management processes
- Perform inspection on deliveries to confirm quality and no damaged stock
Quality Assurance
- Monitor the quality of merchandise being processed and shipped
- Implement quality control measures to minimize errors and defects
Safety & Regulation Compliance
- Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
- Conduct safety inspections and address any hazards or concerns promptly
- Minimize risk of accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
- Maintaining storerooms, passageways, floors, walls, office areas so that the highest degree of sanitation is kept. Perform daily check on the storage facilities for upkeep and hygiene
- Compliance with Health and Safety regulations and local labour laws
- Adhere to quality assurance expectations and standards.
Communication
- Serve as a liaison between warehouse associates and the Warehouse Manager
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure clear understanding of tasks and expectations
- Assist in resolving any issues or challenges that arise during the shift
- Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to implement solutions and improvements
Admin Tasks
- Ensure the warehouse is well maintained
- Assist in managing the supplies required, maintaining proper levels and reorder as required
- Complete all paperwork/ logs required
- Ensuring all storerooms are always secure
- All goods are stored in their correct location
- Properly place trash, empty cardboard, and pallets in storage areas
