Position Title: Spot Producer Editor

OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY:
The Spot Producer/Editor (SPE) has the primary responsibility for conceptualizing storyboarding, producing, and editing commercial spots, special segments and full-length special programming for utilization within the Changing Your World (CYW) broadcast, CYW Network, in-service promotions, WCCI conferences and events, testimonies, and broadcast specials. The SPE is also responsible for updates to specific segments of CYW Broadcast, CYW Network and WCCI corporate and service video needs as well as for production of WCCI interdepartmental corporate videos and special projects for potential use in Worship Services, conventions and online.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Creates story boards, write and edits

Responsible for spots and special programs from conception to final edit

Responsible for updates to specific segments of CYW and WCCI
-
Develops concepts and storyboards for each assignment and submit to director for approval

Assembles recorded raw material into a finished product, suitable for direct response spots

Writes voiceovers, determines sound effects, music, font styles, color schemes, and soundbites

Performs quality control checks prior to submission to the director

Collaborates with other producers and the marketing team as needed

Assists other producers as directed

Remains up-to-date with changes in the industry

Maintains up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION:
-
High School diploma required
-
BA in Broadcast Journalism, Media or Communications is preferred
-
Must have 5+ years of relevant experience in the media industry
EXPERIENCE:
-
Working knowledge and understanding of commercial and promotional techniques
-
Outstanding interpersonal and community relations skills
-
Ability to communicate and work effectively within a diverse group
-
Video production experience essential

Must possess strong writing skills
-
Must possess the ability to work in a collaborative, creative team environment

Must be adaptable and capable of working under the pressure of deadlines
